Your DA has potential, keep it clean, lower the ***** out of it and go with smaller wheels. I am looking to buy a DA myself. They are so gangster when done right. Keep it JDM! Check out my ride when you get a chance. It is for sale BTW.....

Looks good, it'll handle much nicer once you get the Teins. I got new rear LCAs and a Cusco rear lower tie-bar (been 2 years since I had a tie-bar on). Just got some new tires, Hankook R-S2 Z212's that I'm getting installed today, can't wait to try them out. I'd be scared to scrape the roof trying to see it it'll fit under a semi, but Del Sols are small cars height wise anyways.

Don't worry about strut bars, they won't benifit you as much in auto-X as a GOOD set of swaybars will since strut bars DO NOT decrease bodyroll or yaw any. Look like you have either an Si or S model Sol, so I'd highly suggest getting the VTEC model 15mm rear swaybar. I have that same bar on my Civic coupe right now, and it's great! The X-brace and other benen stuff should be fine, they make some real good quality stuff, so excellent choice there. But you'll only need their upper front strut bar, and rear lower tie bar in terms of strut/tie bars. Good luck and thanks for the comments!!

I never said the 92-95 hb weren't eg's... but his wasn't an EG6... Just so you know, an EG6 is the japanese civic SiR which is right hand drive with the JDM B16A, hence why I said that his car isn't an EG6 because its not the JDM SiR.

Posted By: IronMaN
Date: 02/20/2005
i don't see why so many people (such as yourself) feel that it's bad to leave disaraging comments. everyone keeps complaining, "don't hate". it's a comments section, so why can't people tell you what they don't like? it's called constructive criticism; haven't you people been paying attention in school? if the comments weren't appropriate, the administrators wouldn't post it
now, as for your car--> i think your swap is kind of cool, really dislike your taillights, like how you know it's JDM corner lights and not JDM OEMs, nice lowering, but could use a simple body kit to compliment it

and if it's spoon-fed, where are the spoon sports parts? =/

you could go for a 7th gen civic intake...should fit....you best bet will be an AEM V2 or a short ram intake....but that motor you have is not too good w/ bolt ons....but props to you though....love your swap and if you got time check mine out.....later....

They still arent the TE-37 Gravels because they still woudln't have the extra lug nut holes, overral I don't think Rota makes 17" rota grids and now I'm 98% sure theyre Konig Rated-R

Posted By: Kazuki
Date: 12/31/2004
back when i was looking for an intake i was concerned about the same thing, wondering if the intake would hit the hood since we got the design where the throttle body isnt sideways, but no worries, fits fine, and doesnt even hit the hood..just make sure you buy an intake with the more curved design

Posted By: Kazuki
Date: 12/31/2004
i havent had any problems with the intake hitting the hood, the intake i have was made for the d16y7...by the way, nice rims on that green civic, and thats really impressive u got a 2002 civic engine in your car..and how did you have that swapped? did you do that, or professional..and how much if professional installed?? becuz after i get my bodykit painted and installed, i really want to consider a swap, and im wondering what kinda money i would be looking at for that kind of a task... thx for chekin out my car(i need to update some pics, becuz i just got 4 new things)

Date: 12/31/2004
All TE-37's say Volk on them, and also if you look on Volk's website, the TE-37's are like my Rotas where they have the exact number of holes for the wheel studs. Also another big test is, if the wheel is smooth on the back side, like as smooth as the front side, then they are probably authentic. Also of note, the original TE-37's from way back were 5 spoke instead of 6 spoke like they are now.

Anywho, I was refering to Orange County CA.

Posted By: phixion
Date: 12/28/2004
Chances are they are 5Zigens then, though many companies, even Arospeed made TE-37 knocks. You won't find them because I think they have been discontinued for a few years now, I gotta ask my friend what model they were called, he thought Fireball, butthat wouldn't be right LOL! Anyways I got my rims just as you see them, black with polished lip from Rota. Got them for a local shop here in Orange County called Island Motorsports. $450 + tax for the set of 4!!! And Rota is good quality, I know of some Japanese show stock class racers that use them on their cars at the track, no problems. Anyways, as for my lug holes on them, mine has just the 4 needed for my bolt pattern, none extra. The Rota Circuit 8's (silver) you see in a few of my pics have 8 holes however, those are knocks of Mugen MF-8 wheels.

Date: 12/27/2004
I love the coupes! I bought the four door because it will fit my friends more comfortly, and they are the same weight as the coupes from that generation.

Posted By: phixion
Date: 12/27/2004
I'm giving a better look now, I'm skeptical about your wheels. For one, TE-37's have Volk and "TE-37" written on the spokes. They also have signature centercaps, and lastly they AREN'T multi holed as yours are for the lug pattern, real TE-37s have the exact number of holes as lug bolts, and none extra. I have a friend with authentic TE-37's and his definitely aren't like that. Your's remind me of his old 5Zigen TE-37 knocks that he used to have before the Volks. Just an observation, not knocking. ;)

Posted By: phixion
Date: 12/27/2004
I have the Rota version "Grids" unfortunately, I couldn't afford the Volks, but I like the ones I have, no complaints here. :)

hey man. sorry i'm pretty sure youve got some copy cat volks.heres some real ones http://www.hondashowoff.com/profile.php?id=3027

unless ofcourse someone got those power coated or painted? in which case the stickers would of been removed

i like seeing the new D series in there. too bad those things arent much faster than the 1.6 ltr. vtec

D17A2 127 hp @ 6300

114lb-FT @ 4800

D16Y8 127 @ 6600 rpm

107 lb/ft @ 5500 rpm

nice choice on the swap tho!

Tanks :).nice coupe.its going to look really nice when you get all of the future mods done :)keep me posted with new updates.no im not from germany :)

Date: 12/22/2004
all i got to say is just becaue an engine is a b16 or b18 doesnt meen its fast.. i got more power off the line than any civic i have come across.. i meen hatchbacks are the only thing that hang with me. i meen i have raced a 540i bmw and lost.. but i meen thats a *****in bmwer.. i really think it depends on the driver and than a lil on the engine.. if you swap one SOHC for another you might be able to get a faster rotation thus giving you more power.. so really it does serve a purpose just to let you know..

yah i really like the sohc though man..i love my car theres nothign really more to say.. shes got enough power for me now and when i turbo her later she'll fly..

Posted By: 4dr
Date: 12/21/2004
Im 15 and you think I don't know what I'm talking about? whatever dude I know those arent volks so dont go around trying to say you got 1,400 rims, and by the way, what was the point of swapping a sohc for another sohc? thats like swapping a b16a2 for a b18b, serves really no purpose

Posted By: 4dr
Date: 12/20/2004
you got yourself a set of rota grids, get it straight, the spokes are too thick and go way to far to the lip, i hate people that try to say that they have something that they really dont

Posted By: Accordian52

thanks for the comments! unfortunately, my car was stolen, and never recovered..
your car looks great though! crazy engine choice!

thanks man..i like you civ..is it an ex or what..? but yah my brother did everything to my car i just bought it from him..but he said that he changed the bulb to a lower watt and it puts a dimmer light out..i like it cause its harder for one to see you..so no popo sees me mashing around..
you have sohc? if so thats what i got..but i dont see why people say b16 is better..i have hella beat my friends who have swapped that into there car.. i am pullin 130 hp with my engine stock and loving it..i race everyone..i have beat si's and im stock and there dohc vtec but i still win.. single is better..LOL ..but hit me up bro.. late

I like the Rota Grid wheels you got on. Looks good. Too bad they weren't real Volks :/ Pretty clean so far. I'd suggest gettin all red or red/clear tails to make it look cleaner. Late.

Posted By: Type.R.Brains

Yo man what up with the si? and why would you swap for a 2002 ex motor? unless your going to run fully built turbo and engine managment system, single cam is useless. you have the right idea of keeping it clean. Rip off those taillights, drop it a few inches, and put a lip kit on it. hit me back
