Here's what I found out by asking around...



The B18C7 is the Aus. version ITR motor. In Europe it's the B18C6, and in the US it's the B18C5 and then the B18B in Japan of course. So it's not really a different motor by ANY means, it's just designating what country/region it's from. ;)



As for the Indy Special, all I could dig up thus far is a GSi model Indy Special, but that's equal to the USDM "GS/LS" models, nothing even close to an ITR... =\ I find it highly unlikely they'd make a Indy model for different trim levels, just doesn't happen. It's like with the Civic, there's no "Special Edition" Si model, there's just a Special Edition model with the EX or LX.

Also I'm fully aware of what JDM is and means, but obviously it means something totally different in Aus than it does in the US. In the US it means a car fixed up to look like the Japanese version with authentic factory parts from Japan. Also in the US ricer means any PERSON (not car) that fixes up their car with crap Ebay parts or puts things on their car like rediculous wings, crazy wild bodykits or neon lights under the car.



Dual exhaust is pointless for a simple reason. You DON'T need a pipe bigger than the opening of the collector on the header. Anything bigger (or dual exhaust) is a wate of time an money. If your goal is drag then save the look and money and run straight pipe from the header, that's what a smart person would do at least... =\

daul exhaust man it depend on what you do with ypour car if you race it around a track of course you need back pressure for torque but if you use it for drag racing you need the best flow possible have a look at every drag honda in the world and i'll bet there all run big diameter exhaust.

LMAO! If you THINK that dual exhaust gives you gains, then all the more power to you but the laws of physics and mechanics tell otherwise, so do tuner shops. Cars NEED back pressure to operate at an optimum level, but what would a stupid ricer that throws Euro tails and a body kit onto a Type-R know about tuning? Grab me a link to HONDA about that C7 motor and I'll stop talk, but until then you'll keep looking like a tard for making up lies to feel better. And to 2brag, you're a gnat compared to me unless you got a car to show off. Then again you're probably some kid using his mum's internet. Who here has "14's and is slammed? Not me, you must be dreaming or something. I'm done here, this poor excuse of an owner isn't worth another second of my time.

i come from New zealand, we have the same spec ITRs as the australians.
the AUS/NZ spec ITRs are right-hand drive and bug eyed, also the sunroof was an option :)

phixion can u tell me the meaning of life coz you think you know everything! im vouching for this car being a genuine type R. Indy special is because of the Surfers Paradise Indy here in Aus you moron, theres life outside USA, and as for the JDM front end...JAPAN MATE, THIS CARS IN AUSTRALIA which means right hand drive.

As for bodykits, i "dislike" you clowns that think its awesome to put 14" rims and slam to the ground but im not gonna go around and bag the sh!t outta ya, its how you modify your car that makes you individual...

IN SUMMARY; Ben doesnt have to prove anything to you hero's, his mates and people here in Aus know its a Type R.

well to you mate you better do some rading cause in oz the type r come out with a b18c7 not a c5 and we did not get any with the jdm headlight they all come out over here with bug eye light and next you guys will tell me that you can buy the type r stamp that tell you what number your cars hey cause mine is 00-0014 and man if you new every thing about oz car you would know that a sunroof is a factroy option down here and my daul exhaust system make more power then any after market system so suck on them apple and unless you live in oz don't comment on ***** you don't know

The body kit and especially the Euro tails really disgrace this car. :( They are jsut fine lowered and in original stock form. The dual exhaust kills the performance since the motor was never made for that much flow. Also the point of ITR not having a sunroof is because it sheds weight. I have Austrailia connections that I'll ask up about the sunroof claims, but I'm not buying it. I don't believe this is a true Type-R. I also have never yet seen a RHD that didn't have the JDM front end. I'm not buying the Indy Special either since Indy Car is a US thing and for sure they would have marketed that in the US. Pics really wont prove much though since anyone can stick a C5 motor into an Integra... =\ The body kit though is enough to convince me since no one in their right mind would do that to an ITR, the TOP of the line! Don't mean to hate, but I'm just calling this one as I see it.

This is my mates car in our car club, im trying to find some engine shots to shut you all up...Did you pay any attention to what Ben said? There were 500 made, Limited Edition Indy Specials, with the sunroof...Also take note that its from AUSTRALIA so your US spec information doesnt count for anything so 'phatintegra' that proves your RHD theory.

Didn't the '99+ ITR DC5-R's have a different body (RS-X)? or is that a different year? Either way, ITR's don't come with sunroofs, and its not an R because of the inner headlight bulbs, haha busted.
