yea you are trying but the body kits are out and the whale fin has got to go. I would slam it get a lip and then drop a motor

Yo, cool comment. That is kinda the reaction I look for when I drive my car and trust me I feel your pain as you can see with the unsightly distortion of my driverside fender. Once I get back from Iraq I plan on having that fixed and repainting the whole thing a deep blue after I find a modest lip kit for the front and rear bumpers. Back to your ride though, it is one of the sexiest cars honda made. It has a similar look to a supra or 350z from the rear. My suggestion, modest rear wing if any and like a clear solid red tail lights to go with the clean white look. Thanks SGT Hogan

No wing looks so much better! ;) Defijnitely the H23 with H22 head. Like mentioned the H22 block isn't much stronger than a Civic's D16 block. H22 cylinder walls are thin and fragile.

only matters what you think of your car, because it's your car and only your car, but it does help alot to listen to others' comments because they have a better persepective of what looks good on your car and what doesn't, through their point of view and opinion, so it would be good to have an open mind about it and not take it like as if they're hatin on you and stuff, it's not it at all. We all are part of the Honda family here and we should be able to get along like a family. Thanks for the nice comment on my car, much appreciated homie. Have a great day, take care :D

Thanks! Wheels next for sure. I was in the same boat you're in now, once. Just save and budget/shop around for the best deals. Know what mods you want and set saving goals for them. Wing looks better painted, though still not fitting the look of the car, go with an OEM wing from the VTEC model.

Type-S... Unless your Prelude is an Acura, than that's where the differance is. Your car IS NOT a Type-S in any shape or form. Type-S only graces 2 cars thus far, the RSX and the CL models. Type-S is the Acura (so far) designation for the top of the line performance oriented "Sport" model. For Preluds, the "S" model is the base model. You can call yours a Type-S since it's an S model, but that's just biting off the "Type-S" from Acura. Basic jist here is that your car is not a Type-S, it's just a Prelude S which the S is for "Standard" and not "Sport." =\

I say that you shouldn't call it a "Type-S" because that term usually indicates a high performance vehicle. Acura marks the high-performance versions of the RSX and the TL with "Type-S" badges, so really it is like saying "SI or Type-R."

Your car is simply known as the "S-model" or "Prelude S" or just "Prelude."

Anyways, I will say that your car is improving...I'm still not a fan of the kit or the wing, but at least you're making progress and you've got a general theme going...I would advise you to perhaps get some engine modifications going on before you worry about dressing up the outside of your car so much...there's nothing worse than a souped-up looking car with no balls under the hood...

Good luck!

Go with NO wing when you toss the whale tale. With the body kit and everything painted and then nice rims and a drop, your Lude will look fly! BTW, what do you consider a "real" wing? If you get any, get to stock factory option wing, looks best on any Prelude to most peeps.

Oh, and while I'm at it...you don't have a "Type-S," you have the "S-model." If this was a RSX or CL that we were talking about, that would be a good thing, but as far as Preludes go, it means you have the base model, least amount of options, hub caps, and the crappiest motor available, it's nothing to brag about or advertise...

I bet this thing is an automatic too, right?

If I was given that wing free, it would hit Ebay the same day.

If you want to talk about superficial, we'll talk about the wing. I'd never add anything to my car like that, that would SLOW my car down, esp. if i was planning an H22 swap down the line. And it's proven fact, wings like that DO slow a car down since they are not functional and only for look. In fact in some cases that i've physically seen myself, the drag they create can even damage your trunk deck lid by continually pushing down on it when going freeway speeds or faster. Yes, a curved damaged trunk lid definitely looks top notch! O_o

Well I will go with all below with other guys comments about your car. The wing need to let it go! Be honest. It is on wrong place at wrong time. Maybe you can keep wing until very last when you have your car all body kit done and it may depent on wing if it agreed or not. Most of time of that kind wing don't look good on your car. I know you maybe just 16 and learning some point view of many people around HSO. Many people at HSO have different experiences and point view Some of people had help me out with my car and it help the car look better than I had thought. I like my car to look simple and have a great power under hood. So i guess for yours, good luck with the future mod to make your car look better. Maybe show us your engine bay.

Free or not, that wing WILL slow your car down, been proven in magazines. Got proof it'll actually help? Of course not, because it won't!

Wow...I can't believe some of the comments you make to people on here...
How can you tell spanish32 that his car is the "worst prelude you've ever seen" and that his car is "plain"?!? Let's see, he's got an H22, WITH MODS, SUSPENSION MODS, and exterior mods THAT ACTUALLY LOOK GOOD! You don't have any of that, so I think you should leave the man alone...he's doing just fine, and heading in a much better direction than you are...
And then, as for Phixion, where do you get off telling him that his car has "superficial crap" that will slow him down? To what parts are you referring to? His engine modifications? His sweet suspension setup? His tasteful exterior modifications? You want to talk about superficial crap that won't make your car faster? Look at your played out fenders, and your ugly looking wing...both of them unpainted...do those things help you go faster?
And Phixion clearly stated that he autocrosses his car, he focused on the suspension instead of on making the car fast...it's not built for drag racing, it's built to handle well...cars with too much power won't do well in autocross...
And as far as the wing being free...that still doesn't mean that it's good looking or that you should put it on your car...if somebody handed you a bumper sticker that said "I'm a tard!" would you put it on your car just because it was free?
If somebody handed me that thing, it would never touch my car...I would sell it to some ricer like you and make some money off of it...
Good luck with your future mods...later...

Most of my mods aren't there to make it faster, and the K&N in stock airbox IS indeed better than a short ram intake, or the stock intake setup with all the piping which I removed off of mine. Don't always believe what a company like AEM or DC Sports tell you about intakes, most of it is false BS that they say to get you to buy their stuff. DOn't believe me, ask ANYONE on here if their CAI gave them the claimed 10hp gain that AEM will tell you can get up to.

Now I never ANYWHERE said that my car is fast, most on here will certainly beat it in the quarter, but I can assure you where my car IS fast is where it matters to me, and that's in the curves where it'll own 90% of the cars on here due to my suspension setup which I value more than performance. What good is a high HP motor when it can only go in a straight line which is quite boring to me. You talk about my superficial garbag, but a unnecassery sized wing and crazy body kit like the Combat one are no different in the superficial dept, so you really contradict your comments to me, there. The ONLY body kit proven to actually help the car go faster is any that Mugen sells, and they are only effective at like freeway speeds and faster. As for my real engine mods, read the profile, that's what I have. Nothing is hidden or not mentioned. I could care less about having the fastest Honda around or even having 200hp. My car is street driving 90% of the time, so I really have no need to make it fast only to be limited to 65mph on the freeways. See my point? ;)

I find it reather funny what you said to Spanish32 considering how your Lude looks right now. Honestly his car isn't plain compared to your only outside mods being some unpainted Ebay fenders that don't match the car, and a hidious wing that would be a disgrace to even a Pinto, esp with it being unpainted as well.

I understand your only 16 and may not have much dough, but the $$$ on the wing and fenders could have been better spent on a nice cold-air intake or exhaust system or something. I was in the same boat when I was 19 and had my car, that was 6 years ago. But lots of busting my butt at 2 different jobs (ontop of school) LOTS of patience and smart buying of budgeting and pricing stuff out, and well you can see where I am with it now. Anyways good luck with the modding and at least get some paint on the fenders and wing next thing. =\
