Personally I wouldn't risk it. I'd rather have a local shop I can yell at in case I don't pass emissions.

I bought my magnaflow catalytic converter on eBay. It's worked out great for me. Haven't had any problems with it thus far. But i'm the big eBay buff on this forum so.....i'm a bit biased. hehe

Damn near everything on my car came from ebay, including my P.O.S. OBX cat, which is basically a test pipe.

Personally if you dont have any emissions tests then i'd go for it (its an off-road cat) because its extremely cheap, but be sure to get your exhaust put on afterwards and not before because its a universal pipe and they had to pull my exhaust back so its kinda hiding.

P.S. If you decide to get a high flow cat, your exhaust will get raspier.

for me. I went to magnaflow and chose which catatlytic converter i wanted based on measurements i took. They have so many to choose from, i was able to pick one that was stock length. They also have many for OBDII engines because those have o2 sensors.

After i found the one i wanted, i just searched for it on ebay using the model number. I got mine for $60 shipped

I buy stuff off ebay all the time but I'll research the product on google to make sure it's not crap and I only get brand new in the box items.

I just bought a passport 8500 x50 brand new in the box for $55 cheaper then retail. I love ebay.

If you're that worried, I bought a Magnaflow cat from Summit Racing for about $89.

I bought my suspension components on Ebay, but my exhaust stuff elsewhere.
