Could anyone tell me where I can find the front lip for a 1989 Honda Prelude.

the OEM front lip? I'd say a junkyard, Hondaautomotiveparts.com, or eBay are your best bets

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/prddisplay.jsp?inputstate=5&catcgry1=Prelude&catcgry2=1989&catcgry3=2DR+2.0SI+4WS&catcgry4=KA5MT&catcgry5=BUMPER

Looks like part number 18 maybe? If that's what you need then it's not all that expensive.

What kind of Type R front lip? Are you talking Civic Type R? Integra Type R? To my knowledge there is no Type R Prelude...

I doubt any lips from different cars will fit, especially since your Prelude is more of a boxy shape where as the newer cars are more rounded.

Actually, you'd be surprised what interchanges.

For the 90-93 Accord, people have used 94-97 Accord pieces, 91-95 Legend pieces, 97-01 Prelude ones, 96-00 Civic ones, etc etc.

Your best bet would be to go to a junkyard and start popping lips off cars and finding a lude in the junkyard and just compare the size and shape and see what works.

your best bet will be a mazda 626 lip, an early 90's teg lip, a 94 accord lip, or an aftermarket 90-91 integra lip

it looked REALLY good though!
