RPM acting up

I have a 98 civic EX and I've had the car a month and already had to have the intake and ignition replaced. When the car is in park the idle is at between 1400 and 1800 RPM but when I put it in drive it goes down to 1000 RPM. Sometimes when I stop at lights or stop signs it goes to almost 0 RPM. Somebody please help I love this car but I have no idea what could possibly be wrong...:confused:

could be various things, TPS sensor, your IAC.. clean your sensors, check for any vacuum leaks. It also could be your map sensor. I had the same problem with my 91 hatch.

My all time favorite answer for things like this, plug wires. Those damn things can cause all kinds of problems and are easy to replace. If you haven't replaced them a while might as well do it.

plug wires. could also be a bad ground but i doubt it.

Probably should try cleaning your IACV with some carb cleaner
