hey, does anyone have any suggestions on which route to take on buying a new amplifer? as many of you know i just build a new sub box and subs, but my old amp isn't cutting it anymore, i just need MORE POWER! i feel bad cause i'm under powering my subs.. individually they are 450 watts rms (x2), but i'm not sure what brand or places to buy. i don't have a lot of money go blow on audio equipment but was wondering if anyone has some suggestions, or knows some good sites to looks for. thanks guys.

i've got a 500 pioneer but its crap.. i wanna get something with a lot more power.. direct outlet is in little canada, or in brooklyn ceneter - which is like 35 mins away.

oh yup, brooklyn center sounds right! i've been there once, and.....ya, i'm not really a local out there......what kind a subs are they newayz, an if those subs are 450 rms each, your prolly gonna need a BIG amp, and to go along with that BIG amp.... a capacitor would be needed as well!

what ohm are the subs? you can wire up the subs/amps several different ways to get the power you need.

um i'm not sure what ohm they are. they're from the Jensen SL212 subwoofer enclosure box that you can buy, it has a max output of 1800w for both. as for ohm. i'd have to check.. i think its 2ohm but i'm not possitive.

i'm sure a 2000 watt amp, and a 2 farat cap would be the perfect set up for ya, along with a 2awg ground for the battery!

ya i already have really good wiring, like 4awg i think. but i'm in desperate need of some more watts, cause its just not doing it for me right now, needs more power. i put in a 1000 watt amp of my friends and its probably what i'll get, it didn't seem like it needed a cap but i'll prob get one just incase.

idk man, a 2k amp would prolly be the optimum amp for bumpage, that and from what i've read(and make's sense) your more likely to damage your sub's by underpowering them, as apposed to over, i not saying hook up a 2k amp to a 5hundred watt sub, that'll be a bad day, but if you only over by 200 per sub, that'll be fine
