Sounds like it was worth the time and effort to clean it up. Gotta see a vid of a burnout with BOTH front wheels spinning.

how hard was it........well......uh i'm in school for auto maintenance technician. so at the school we got all data so i had the entire dis assembly procedure in front of me, plus two instructors that have been working in dealerships for 25 years plus each. if you've never torn into a tranny before, make sure you got a friand that has, to help out here and there. as for special tools........for the most part basic stuff i guess, pulling the trans itself is the most tedious part itself, like getting the axle nut's off with out an impact...ugh, that suck's lol.....of and to remove the bearings you need a press, just kinda hard to summarize a total overhaul lol....but ya, lsd FTMFW!

no not the axle bearings lol, inside the trans, there's two bearings for the diff, sometime's you'll get lucky and the bearings will stay still pressed into the trans housing, but sometimes the bearings will come out wit the diff, but when you go to press it all back together it may be a struggle, i mean ya you could pursuade the casing with a hammer, but you risk damage to the casing, a press is simply the best route imo.
