Thanks Candy! :) I finally got myself a decent radiator too, lol! I got a Koyo dual-core, pretty nice and I can totally notice the cooler running temp of the car now. Stayed UNDER 185F when I went road racing last weekend in the 100 degree heat.
Hey Candy, haven't checked out your car in a while. Anything new to it in the past couple months? Not much new to mine, finally got the Bride seat I wanted for the driver's side (Brix model) and moved the other one to the passenger side, and added a couple gauges and cluster bezel gauge pod thing (water temp and oil pressure). After seeing a local shop selling a set for $780, I've been considering replacing my Teins with some D2-Racing RS model 36-way adjustable coilovers, with custom spring rates of course. I gotta ask around though to people with experience with them before I take that plunge, otherwise my Teins are perfectly fine. Well anyways, take care!!

Oh yeah, what's the differance between the TE's and the LEs, are the LE's the only ones that come with a polished lip, or do TE's came in that style as well? Eitherway, d@mn I wish I could afford me some, for their light weight for racing if nothing more. I'm not complaining though, my Grids are like 14.5lbs (for "16's), but still nothing like the 12lbs of your "17's, lol!

Hey Candy, that's only happened to my HIDs once, and that was when I accidently flipped the highbeam switch, which cuts the power to them. I tuned them off, then back on and everything was fine. Otherwise I've never had a problem with them. If your's are less than a year old, see if you can warranty the ballast for that side, my guess is that's what's going out on you with yours. :(

I was thinking your Mugen front lip was CF for some reason. I'd have gotten a CF CTR lip for mine, but they are hella expensive. :-\
Since the HIDs, nothing new. :( Some new "toys" soon though. Replacing my 22mm ITR rear swaybar, with a Del Sol VTEC 15mm swaybar so my subframe doesn't start tearing out again. Also gonna get a solid rear tiebar as well as a radiator cooling plate from PasswordJDM.com

Definitely love my new HIDs. :) They aren't too blue which I like, but definitely like 537652387 times brighter than my PIAA GT-X's, haha! I only notice the yellow that people speak of with 5000K HIDs when I'm facing a wall, on the road surface I don't see it, so I'm wondering if maybe it's my PIAA Ion Plasma city light bulbs that it's coming from. That sucks about your apt. garage and flooding. After the 15+ inches of rain we got here in So. Cali this past week, I know all too well how the flooding can be. =\ We didn't get flooded out, but I came across a couple streets that were streaming with water flowing down them, or saw ones that were totally flooded out. But that's cool your A'PEXi coils can go as low as thr Tanbes. I've heard before that the SO-C's can tend to be rather bouncy, I hear it's even moreso with the JIC FLT-A2 coils. Pretty soon here I'll be getting my rear Teins revalved to support stiffer springs (I've already upgraded them by 2kg stiffer from normal). I'll be going up another 2-4kg with them. :-x
5000K HIDs bought and installed this weekend. :D They look great, and shine right through the nasty rain we've been having. I posted a pic ou of them, but I'll try to get a better one up, lol! I'd say comparable in look/color to Mercedes or Acura HIDs. Blue, and I couldn't notice the hint of yellow that people talk about. They also drown out the light from my JDM amber foglights, haha! :P How'd the coilovers go, or did you get them? Take care Candy!

That really sucks about the axles and tranny. :( Sounds like you had a lemon there in the beginning, because for sure they shouldn't have just all broke like that on the first pass. I'm sure all is better now. :)
As for lights, I had wondered what kit you had yourself, I knew it was something that's 10,000K color temp. When I used to run 5000K color halogen lights (90/100w ones at that) and even when I ran my most recent 5000K PIAA Super Plasma GT-X bulbs (that had a slight purple tint lowbeam and bluish high beam) I never once got pulled over, or even a comment from a cop about them, and well around So. Cali they will pop you for ANY type of mod in some cities. I know people who got popped as many as 3 times in a few month period a few cities over, for having HID lights. If you hit the ballast well, than you can get away with passing them off as normal headlights as long as they don't know what a true HID type bulb looks like.

All motor is the best. =) Have you ever ran your car before, Cany? I'm interested to know how well it can or would do... In any event, I finally got my rear subframe all welded up and fixed. So glad I'm not limping my poor car around anymore. I put up a couple pics of that, one of the damage, then one of the steel plates I had welded into place. I was putting my swaybar back on last night, and snapped one of the bolts to it trying to get it all torqued down to spec, that kinda sucked. And my next mod I'm picking up next week, McCulloch 4700K HIDs, w00t! :D

APEX'i coilovers should be nice. At first i was gonna say you're going backwards with them, but I was thinking of the APEX'i N1 coilovers, lol! One of my friend's has the N1's on his 240SX coupe, and they are WAY bouncy, I thought my Teins on the stiffest setting were bad, but those N1's... yeah back problems off the bat from riding on them, lol! When you get them in, I'm curious to know how they work out. Will they be able to slam as low as your S0-C's?

That definitely makes sense. Oddly, my wheels don't camber as much as I'd have thought being about "2 drop in front and like "1.8 or so at the rear, but then again I am using longer upper control arm bolts and washers for that cheap $2 rear camber correction "trick." It works I guess. Yeah, I'm planning to paint my ghettofabulous black CTR style lip soon too, gonna paint it myself though like I did with my upper grill and sideskirts (back before I had a shop paint them when getting some accident damage fixed). I don't want to have a shop do it and pay $75 or so when it'll for sure chip off since it scrapes everyday on the driveway at work. :( My rear lip I had a shop paint however since I know it wouldn't chip or scrape. Anywho, take care Candy!! :)

wow is that the only car youll ever drive? I sold my Si cause me personally I got tired of 16 and 17 year olds looking at my car. Saying Wow is that a B16 motor? is that an Si? Ill be 22 in a few months and decided to switch to the competitor, I went with Nissan 350Z, and the best part about the car when im at the light and a 17year old kid pulls up in his 99 Si or a kid in a hatch, they know they'll get spanked so they dont even try to go against me, yeah i know 350z are a 14sec flat in a quater mile but ill build mine with a few mods ill hit low 13s or maybe 12s!

That's the other reason why I'd put them in the stock housings rather than my CTR ones, because of that bulb shield thing to cut down the light when looking at them. The guy who's EK hatch I saw them on, took out the shield from the factory lights, and put them into his CTR housings. I wish I had gotten pics... :( Anyways, take care!
Ack, I just noticed that you had left me a comment, thanks! :) Yeah, I'm looking to get some used IS300 HID's and put them in my factory housings, well try them in there first so I don't mess up my CTR ones. I saw this done on an EK hatch once, and it was by far the best HID conversion to the stock housings I've ever seen on a Civic. I mean it looked as if the car came standard with them. The light pattern spread was perfect, and they weren't blinding in your mirrors either. How good are your HIDs? I'd get a kit, but those are illegal now here in CA, ugh! But harvesting OEM HIDs from cars that came with them isn't illegal... yet. ;D

But furst I gotta getmy subframe fixed from my swaybar ripping out of it. :( I'm gonna get rid of the ITR bar I had on, put an Si bar back on and get 4kg stiffer springs for my rear Teins. Since they'll be shorter springs, I'll be able to slam it more as right now they are near the bottom of the threading. Anyways, keep up the great work as always! :D

I'm still amazed at how low you can get your car on those Sustecs! :o Those GSR blades on that other Si look sweet, but of course they can't touch the Volks, hehe. That height would nver work on my car though, I have 215 width Falken Azenis Sports tires, and already at it's current height (I put up a recent side profile pic where you can see the height from the fender and wheels) I still get some slight rubbing when I'm cornering hard on the local mountain roads, or when I auto-X. :( I know, time to roll the fenders! Thank you. :) I was totally blown away when I got feature car of the month. But congrats to you as well for getting it last month, it's a really neat honor. Anyways the C2's do give the car a totally different look, but still looks good. The 3rd pic down in my profile was actually taken behind DAZZ Motorsports warehouse/headquarters who is the official distributer of Racing Hart wheels.

Wow, nice car. Gunmetal rims don't look good on most cars to me (they kinda look like spares from a distance) but they look TIGHT on yours :D It's good to see a girl deckin' out her car. Most girls I know don't know how to drive stick... ;) Sweet ride!

man ive seen alot of civics and i think your the only one who got that special civic touch i know ppl will say wut u talkin about she has a ctr head lamps and rear lip but damm u juss got it right and the engine bay is comen alot :) good luck u got this car down

No way, this car is best as is, JDM'afied! :D Genuine CTR headlights will rock projectors anyday!
Cars alright but you should get away from stock look on exterior, get a body kit or something other than stock, but interior is tight

Wow, very impressive Si coupe you have there. Is it more for show, or performance function. Also what Tanabe coilovers do you have, and how do you like them? I have Tein coilovers myself on my Civic, be sure to check it out sometime. :) Keep up the good work!
